Celebrate Christmas in July and Support Subs for Santa

Celebrate Christmas in July and help support Grand Strand Young Professionals’ (GSYP) Substitutes for Santa with a local craft brewery.

For the month of July, customers at Tidal Creek Beer Garden will have the opportunity to “round up” with all proceeds going to Substitutes for Santa.

Join GSYP at Tidal Creek Beer Garden July 28 from 5-7 p.m. where one dollar of every beer sold during the event benefits Substitutes for Santa.

Substitutes for Santa is an annual charity held by GSYP in partnership with SOS Care that provides a Christmas experience for more than 100 children in Horry County.

Tidal Creek Beer Garden is located at the Tanger Outlets on U.S. Hwy. 17 and is the first beer garden franchise born from Tidal Creek Brewhouse in Myrtle Beach. They pour all local, handcrafted brews in addition to wine, cider and seltzers. New this year, the beer garden is the first of its kind in the South Carolina and first Tanger Outlets location in the country to allow the sipping and shopping experience.

Each December in partnership with SOS Care, GSYP hosts Substitutes for Santa where they give more than 100 children in Horry County a magical Christmas experience. This includes taking them to Fun Warehouse where they play, skate and eat then heading to Walmart where each child has $100 to spend on Christmas presents. In addition to the presents they purchase, each child is also sent home with a blanket and pillow and a swag bag of household necessities such as toilet paper, shampoo, soap and laundry detergent. GSYP plans to serve 150 children this year.
