Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to bring this women’s conference to The Beach for the second year. The Ignite Women’s Conference is presented by Tidelands Health and is a full-day conference held at the Sheraton Myrtle Beach Convention Center.
The mission of this chamber program is to empower and support women in our community by providing opportunities to connect and exchange ideas, celebrate accomplishments and champion growth and success.

Taking Care of You, Too: The Importance of Preventive Care and Living a Healthy Life

In 2022, nearly half of American women skipped a preventive health service such as an annual check-up, mammogram or other health screening. Sound too familiar? When you’re juggling work, family and community responsibilities, it’s all too easy to let your own needs take a back seat. In this session, Dr. Roxanne Latimer and physician assistant Paige Weaver will help you prioritize your health and wellness. Get the information you need to take charge of your well-being and be the strongest, healthiest version of you.
Mental Exoneration
Presented by: Shelbia Wiley
This session will take you through the life of a woman who found resilience in a dark place through perseverance and hope. It depicts the life of a young girl who was mentally incarcerated for years. She was thrust into repetitive sexual abuse beginning at an incredibly early age and continuing through adolescence. You’ll hear how she learned to stop blaming herself and how she transformed her abuse into a source of help and hope for others who have been abused and trafficked.
Taking Care of Your Financial Life

Women have a lot to celebrate. They’ve made strides in key areas in recent years — from earning more college degrees and holding higher-paying jobs to starting their own businesses and living longer. The presentation will dive into how these advances for women will affect planning for their financial futures.
Prioritize Yourself: Set Workplace Boundaries
Presented by: Ashley Gadson
Setting healthy professional practices for yourself is critical to maintaining a good work-life balance. This session will help you prioritize yourself and set reasonable boundaries in the workplace.
A question and answer session with three local women business leaders: Olga Kazakova, Amy Lawrence-Lovely and Heidi Vukov. This panel is moderated by WBTW News 13’s Annette Peagler.
