MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.—After serving the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce (MBACC) for the past 22 years, Chief of Administration Diana Greene has announced her retirement effective Dec. 16, 2022.
Greene began her service with the chamber in 2000, becoming Vice President of Marketing in July 2001. In 2011, she was promoted to Vice President of Membership, Programs and Services, and in 2018, became the Chief of Administration. She also served as the Interim Chief of Staff for several months in 2018.
Through her contributions, MBACC has received numerous honors, including being named the 2015 Chamber of the Year from the American Chamber of Commerce Executives and the prestigious 5-Star Accreditation from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Prior to joining the chamber, Greene worked for the Myrtle Beach Area Internet Marketing Cooperative and several Myrtle Beach-area businesses, including The Palace Theater, Hard Rock Café and Jordan Properties. After graduating magna cum laude from the University of South Carolina, she joined the South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism where she promoted the Palmetto state internationally and then domestically.
Greene is a graduate of Leadership Grand Strand (LGS), Leadership South Carolina, Carolinas Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives’ (CACCE) Certified Chamber Executive program, U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Institute of Management (IOM) certification program, and Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Integrated Emergency Management Course.
She has served on various boards, including the U.S. Chamber’s IOM Program, the CACCE’s Board of Directors, S.C. Hospitality Association, Coastal Carolina University’s Women in Philanthropy and Leadership, and others. In 2010, she was named as one of the “New Generation of Powerful Women” by Coastal Business Life Magazine. She has served Myrtle Beach as a Rotarian since 2004 and previously served as president of Myrtle Beach Sunrise Rotary.
Since 2005, Greene has held the position of Executive Director for the chamber’s LGS program and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. Her work for LGS has helped develop hundreds of effective leaders in the community. While remaining at the helm of LGS, she is retiring as the executive director of Keep Myrtle Beach Beautiful, where she was instrumental in launching the organization as a Keep America Beautiful affiliate in 2021.

I look forward to continuing this work through my role with Leadership Grand Strand,” Greene said.
